Alpinestars brings you the RK-1 Plasma Knee Brace, an anatomically profiled knee brace designed for all forms of off-road riding. Engineered to deliver comfortable knee support without compromising on lightweight construction, breathability, or protection, the RK-1 Plasma combines an innovative hybrid frame with an integrated Nucleon PLASMA knee protector. This construction provides excellent structural rigidity while retaining flexibility around the upper and lower strap areas, allowing the brace to adapt to the rider’s movements.

Designed to provide optimal structural support while remaining ultra-lightweight and adaptive, the RK-1 Plasma helps reduce the risk of injuries to the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, and the medial and lateral menisci. Its replaceable, triple-segmented knee cups feature a polyurethane outer shell backed by Nucleon PLASMA protection, delivering an effective combination of impact protection, flexibility, and scratch resistance. A self-centering knee cup, along with strategically positioned upper and lower patella extensions, provides comprehensive coverage across different knee flexion and extension angles.

The brace features an extremely stable, slim-design four-point hinge system that closely follows the natural articulation of the knee. Adjustable extension stops, available from 0° to 30°, allow riders to set the desired maximum opening angle for added control and support. Stainless-steel hinge bushings with an anti-oxidation treatment enhance durability and long-term performance, making the brace well suited to the demands of off-road riding.

Four individual straps with non-slip backing help keep the brace securely positioned during riding. High-tensile-strength buckles provide robust yet flexible fastening, easy adjustment, and a secure fit, while the central buckles feature a keyhole snapping system for reliable closure. Soft-touch thermoformed padding enhances rider comfort and helps keep the brace firmly in place. The thermoformed condyle padding is available in different thicknesses, allowing riders to customize the fit according to their individual requirements.

At the heart of the RK-1 Plasma is the Nucleon PLASMA knee protector, encased in an advanced hybrid frame construction. The frame combines a flexible composite over-injected onto a high-performance polymer blend, delivering excellent rigidity and support while maintaining flexibility around the upper and lower strap areas. Nucleon PLASMA is a viscoelastic material engineered using USDA-certified, bio-based, eco-friendly, and sustainable impact-absorbing materials. Its pliable structure allows it to flex in all directions while effectively dissipating impact energy. Lightweight and highly ventilated, the protector offers strong impact force dispersion and absorption, along with extensive coverage across a wide range of riding positions.

The Alpinestars RK-1 Plasma Knee Brace is supplied as a pair. This knee protector is certified to CE Level 1 under EN 1621-1:2012.
