The legendary Badlands Pro has earned its reputation as the most battle-ready adventure gear on Earth, and now with next-generation fabrics in key areas Klim takes it to the next level – literally. By creating an even stronger, more durable Badlands Pro, we also created the first ever GORE-TEX motorcycle garment to earn a CE AAA rating certified to EN 17092-2.

Made from a Gore-Tex 3 layer PRO shell, this jacket is guaranteed to keep you dry. The construction features Gore-Tex Pro Laminates – the most breathable, most durable motorsports shell construction available. The jacket has Vectran™ fiber fabric for superior abrasion resistance. It has custom-engineered  variable-density Superfabric® on shoulders, elbows and the forearms.  

The Klim Badlands Pro A3 Jacket has high-mobility active fit patterning for unmatched comfort, and a pre-curved arm and rider positioning construction. The jacket has 3M Scotchlite reflective material on panels and trim for for biomotion recognition and increased low light reflectivity. Klim has placed these strips so that they trace out a humanoid form, increasing the chances of being recognized by other motorists in low light conditions. YKK® Vislon® water resistant reflective zippers are used on the jacket.

The armour system of the Klim Badlands Pro A3 Jacket has increased coverage, increased ventilation, increased breathability and better ergonomics. The jacket’s integrated armour system features Aero PRO Custom D30® Level 2 shoulder and elbow armour, a D30® Viper PRO Back Pad, and limb-specific pads. The Jacket is CE AA Rating certified to EN 17092-2. The jacket has a siliconized spacer mesh front chest forward impact protection, adjustable armour pockets for refined armour placement, 2 sleeve adjustment straps to stabilize the armour, improved ventilation through the back pad pocket, improved fit of the limb protection to stay in place in the event of a crash, and a kidney belt with access ports in liner for adjustment and storage.

The Klim Badlands Pro A3 Jacket features 12 vents in total – 4 torso intake vents, 2 forearm intake vents, 2 bicep intake vents, 2 tricep exhaust vents, and 2 back exhaust vents. It has a collar tab back for increased airflow to the upper chest. The jacket has easy vent access while riding.

The jacket has a ton of storage with 2 chest pockets, 2 core pockets (that also double up as vents), 2 hand cargo pockets, 1 satellite tracker / utility pocket, 1 forearm Stat Card /  stash pocket, 1 large back pocket, 4 internal chest pockets, and 1 hidden document pocket.  The jacket also has an easy access hydration bladder compartment and internal hose route dual routing options (Two sizes of compatible bladders not included).

Other key comfort and fit features include a moisture-wicking mesh Polygiene® which enables odor fighting on long trips, an integrated jacket-stabilizing, removable and adjustable kidney belt support system (upgraded kidney belt), a low bulk collar, a collar cinch adjustment, a bottom hem adjustment, a standardized jacket-to-pant zipper integration system, a lined comfort collar, custom TPU zipper pullers, a reinforced zipper end sealing system, velcro adjustable wrist closures and forearm sleeve adjustment straps.
