The RAM Mounts Twist-Lock Suction Cup Base with Ball consists of a 83.82 mm diameter RAM^® Twist-Lock^™ suction cup connected to a RAM-B-238U diamond base with a 25.4 mm B size rubber ball. The RAM^® Twist-Lock^™ suction cup base is a fan favorite for use on vehicle windshields, and provides an extra strong hold on any smooth, nonporous surface. Suction cups work by creating a vacuum, so they require an extremely smooth surface. If the surface is textured at all air can get in and the suction cup with loose grip. Suction cup mounts work best against windshields and highly polished metal surfaces.
