Adventure touring requires a fine balance between riding protection, weather protection and walking comfort. The Klim Adventure GTX Boots give you just that and more! The Adventure GTX boots are engineered from rugged materials, using an intuitive design to bring comfort, durability, and ease of use to any adventure touring ride. Unique feature sets deliver unrestrictive support tailored for long distances, without eliminating important walking comfort for visiting your destination.

For the outsole, Klim partnered with Michelin and together they have built a boot lug pattern that will work really well on a wider range of foot pegs, as well as also off the bikes, for things like hiking through a trail or even a walk in the city. The Michelin rubber outsole is built for durability, traction and water evacuation. It’s made of a compound that has soft anti slip rubber as well as good abrasion resistance. The sculptures design provides enhanced stability. It has grooves for water evacuation and better traction. It also has siped sculptures for adherence in snowy conditions. There is a reinforced area for protection and traction. The outsole has a specific longitudinal stripe for having a continuous contact surface. There are also massive sculptures on the heel area for durability. The Adventure GTX boots are not only comfortable to ride long hours in the saddle, but also function really well off the bike too!

Getting in and out of the Adventure GTX Boots is easy and not a cumbersome exercise like it is with most other boots in the market. This boot has a unique 3-tiered system to give one the best fit possible as well aid in getting in and out. The first tier has a velcro calf closure around the calf, to accommodate a wide range of calf sizes and foot variations, within each boot size. The next tier is the BOA system – a pop and release system for a fast, effortless, precision fit! The BOA fit system allows you to easily dial it in exactly to the tightness level you want and then you pop it out to get out. The rear BOA dial position also reduces debris fouling. The open lace guides also shed debris for smooth operation. The 3rd tier which facilitates a perfect fit, is the single plastic quick release ankle cam buckle that comes across the shoe, at the bottom, that really secures the back of the heel into the back of the inside of the boot. With this 3-tiered system, getting the boot on is super easy, getting it dialed gives you a good fit, and once you’re done riding for the day, getting it off is a breeze.

For protection, the boot has a reinforced shin plate and a reinforced toe/ankle area. It has 5mm XRD® Impact Protection Foam Ankle Pucks and 5mm XRD® Impact Protection Foam mid-foot top padding. With these boots, you are going to get that all day, on the bike, riding stability, especially standing up on the foot pegs and the reinforcements for situations where you have a crash.

Klim built the toe box on these boots with a little extra wiggle room for one’s toes, to give extra comfort and breathability that one needs in both on and off the bike situations, all day, each and every day. The Adventure GTX Boots are designed to be worn with Over the Boot pants. Other functional, comfort and fit features include a polycarbonate lasting board, a moisture wicking breathable liner, an Achilles flex zone and a calf flex zone, a shifter plate, an instep guard, a moisture wicking antimicrobial gel-stable insole as well as a spare moisture wicking antimicrobial Ortholite insole, 1/2 size insert for fine tuning one’s fit and entry assist pull loops.

This is a touring focused boot with all the trimmings of adventure in it. It’s great for on the bike – high speeds, highways, byroads – all the things that adventure riders encounter daily, but it excels at off the bike situations as well – around camp, hiking down that trail, going and seeing the sights, traversing areas that in traditional moto boots you would lose a lot of dexterity. These boots are for that traveller that likes both on and off the bike adventure!
